I’ve received that photo twice by people who thought it was real. I sent them that snopes page as soon as I got them and I’m still not sure they don’t believe the photo to be legit.
i caught it originally in an article about hoaxes in the aftermath of the attacks. then came across the snopes thing. i’m amazed that people take advantage of things like this.
actually i shouldn’t be amazed. it just pisses me off.
