I have it on excellent authority that the Russians won the Olympic pairs skating competition and the Canadians didn’t deserve the gold. According to my source, everyone knows the Russians are the best skaters in the world, and the Canadians only got a gold medal because they whined so much that the skating federation gave it to them just to shut them up.
I seem to be livin’ la vida loca since I joined this band.
Oh, and I need a new press photo.
The only time it’s polite to stare.
Ftrain is an excellent read. I really enjoyed this piece on small sounds. There is an mp3 soundbite accompanying it. [via Textism]

I spent most of today trying to implement the WAI’s Accessibility Guidelines without impacting my design, but it’s just not going to work at the moment. Bobby’s going to have to kiss my ass for now. He doesn’t seem to understand XHTML language attributes anyway. I did manage to get approval under U.S. Section 508 Guidelines. I do find it oddly synchronistic that I spent the day working on accessibility issues and then notice it as a topic at zeldman.com today.

No it’s not broken.
Just to confuse everyone who comes here, I switched the way the scrolling arrows work. Talk about a usability nightmare. Have fun.
Actually it was more to bring things in line with how everyone else has their scrollers (I’m such a sheep sometimes). There are changes coming, and you might as well get used to things the way they will be.
Don’t forget to play with the pretty blue “i”, and commence breaking stuff. Right now it’s half-assed [ed.—as oppossed to whole-assed], but it will eventually be working. You gotta love when people put stunted widgets up on their websites for you to play with dont’cha?
Who loves ya dahling?
