…and trackback for all

I’m testing out the trackback system by Daniel Fienes. I translated it into English, and installed it here on my Greymatter powered blog. If it works it should be quite cool.

Update: It’s working. I’ll clean a few things up and then ask Daniel if he wants to release this English version.

In the meantime, feel free to ping my ass.

while rome burns

Not widely circulating in the news is the story of lobsters, caviar, brandy and 80,000 bottles of mineral water, not to mention the other posh luxuries being laid out for the delegates at the second Earth Summit. All this finery while they discuss poverty, hunger, and sustainable development in the global arena.

Don’t they think the £35million would have been better spent on the poor rather than on delegates at a summit discussing the poor?

ninjai II

For those that haven’t been keeping up with the adventures of the little Ninja, the gang at Ninjai have been releasing chapters on the 1st and 15th of each month. The first chapter not previously released, chapter 6, is out. While it’s a bit light on storyline and dialogue, and overall a bit disappointing, at least they’re finishing and releasing chapters again.

muzak

Since I’m pretty sure this is where it’s going to remain, you can go check out some music. You can download, or stream the songs, but if streaming becomes a bandwidth issue I may have to disable that feature. These are just demos for now, but I promise there will be more stuff coming.

my friend the witch doctor

You could ask why it’s been so quiet here, and why posting has been sporadic. Well, since you asked, there are a number of reasons.

I’ve been testing out new CMSs (usual supects), some music software, and I’m constantly working on stuff that I never seem to launch. A viscious cycle of always doing, never finishing.

Legal and life problems have become a constant drain on my concentration, and always wind up overextending their welcome. It feels as if the consequences of a lifetime’s worth of foolish/hasty decisions, long lying dormant, have finally awakend. It’s not a life and death struggle, but it’s beyond life’s simple annoyances. Good karma, bad karma, instant karma, whatever, it’s all being dealt with. Local witch doctors, shamans, mystics, priests, monks, etc. have been hired and are pursuing their particular avenue of expertise to lift whatever curse afflicts me.

Deisel/Dice scandal

I would have thought that someone besides myself would have broken this story by now. He may have been able to fool all of you, but not me, and since no one has stepped up to tell the truth to the public, my duty is clear. Vin Diesel is really Andrew Dice Clay.

molded clay

Lying in wait with a faded comedy career and a bad acting career behind him, the Diceman has reinvented himself as a new generation action star by shedding a few pounds and shaving his head.

Both born in New York (conincidence?), the tell-tale signs are there for all to see if you are just willing to look beyond the Hollywood hype. There is the penchant for guns…

and tweed/wool hats.

mad hatters

High doses of HGH may have done wonders for Clay in the aging department, but the bad acting still shines through to unmask this charade. The similarity in movie projects are uncanny. Take Ford Fairlane and The Fast and the Furious for example. Not only did both movies suck, but the use of alliteration in both titles hints at Clay’s contempt for the public, daring people to catch him. The plot may have been updated for a new generation, but it’s just vanity that makes Clay think he can update himself and get away with it.

updated look, outdated actor

The name change isn’t fooling anyone Clay, Diesel, or whatever you’re calling yourself these days. Not while I’m around.

go retro

So I was thinking if you wanted to get all retro, or were on vacation and had a blogging jones, you could just pick up a blog pad and go to town sans computer.

blogpads anyone?
