Mass hysteria as snowstorm grips northeast

Ok, well no, not really. But everyone keeps saying to use more descriptive titles that catch the readers attention, so I’m trying it out.

We do already have 6+ inches of snow, with more expected. There’s not much you can do in weather like this until it stops. The plows seemed to have botched this storm, or they are themselves waiting for it to break, since there’s hardly a trace of them, and it’s left the roads rather hazardous for the time being. For many, a storm like this is just a precursor to a healthy ski season. For me, it’s the reminder that my least favourite [ed.—LEAST favourite? We HATE winter!] season has just dug its heels in for a nice 3-4 month stay.

In the meantime, I’ve decided to implement some changes to the site that affect how I do things. You may temporarily be afflicted with some whackiness, but I promise to have things back to normal soon.

Until then, why don’t you beat the holiday rush, and pick up a pair of plastic bat wings for your favourite goth this Christmas.

  1. in a former life i worked as a journalist. the editors in charge of me were constantly drilling it into my tiny head that i should write more thrilling gut-wrenching titles for my posts, so alas, i envy your ability to do so.

we’ve gotten slightly more snow up north, but i imagine things are looking quite similar state-wide. it’s beeeautiful. :)

  2. I think that’ll be the next thing they tell bloggers. That in order to write good posts/articles, they’ll need an editor.

All totalled down here, I think we got 8+ inches. It may make a pretty picture, but it’s a pain in the ass. heh
